About a year ago, I had the most vivid and real dream I had ever had, it was the kind of dream that leaves you empty when you awake because it was only a dream and wasn't 'real'. Simply put, in the dream, I was invited to the wedding of Levon Helm and Audrey Hepburn, of course I attended the small ceremony. It was being held at your stereotypical, New York, pawnshop. None of the other guest were familiar to me except for the bride and groom of course. Levon looked stately in his southern attire and Audrey was totally Audrey, radiant and dignified. It was so obvious to everyone there that they were so in love...a marriage made in heaven for sure.... I woke. This is what totally inspired me to make the recording of skedaddle. They say that all of the characters in your dreams are manifestations of yourself, but I'm not buying that on this one! I love Levon and Audrey and they belong together in my books.
